dc.description.abstractPenelitian awal terhadap ekstrak etanol daun Jati Belanda menunjukkan efek penghambatan pertumbuhan terhadap sel kanker payudara (T47D). Hasil skrining fitokimia menunjukkan adanya kandungan flavonoid, alkaloid, polifenol, dan minyak atsiri dalam ekstrak tersebut. Pengembangan obat antikanker memerlukan penelusuran mekanisme molekuler untuk menghasilkan obat yang bersifat spesifik pada sel kanker. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan mekanisme molekuler sitotoksisitas daun Jati Belanda terhadap sel kanker. Penelitian dimulai dengan pengujian potensi aktivitas in vitro terhadap beberapa sel kanker dengan uji sitotoksik pada berbagai konsentrasi menggunakan metode MTT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun Jati Belanda tidak mengandung Tiirosid dan mengandung Flavonoid dengan kadar 0,976%. Hasil uji sitotoksisitas terhadap sel MCF-7, HeLa, T47D dan Vero secara berturut-turut adalah 36,50; 58,02; 53,36; 1806,22 dan 2451,65 µg/mL. Ekstrak etanol daun Jati Belanda memiliki potensi terkuat menghambat pertumbuhan sel kanker WiDr.in_ID
