The Study targeted at using concept map to improve learning effectiviness and motivation to study microeconomics for student majoring in accountancy education, at FKIP-UMS. Employing the purposive sampling technique, the sample of this study concists of 40 students of class IIa. The data were collected using three instruments, observation form on learning motivation, observation form on learning process using concept maps, and test items to assess student learning achievement. The test was administered twice in a pretest-posttest design. The result of the study indicated that the use of concept maps has significantly increasing learning motivation and student achievement in studying microeconomics.
