dc.description.abstractSome sighs from the side of SMK for the agenda of guiding student practice of teaching is student’s lack of ability in the major, student who is not often to have consultation with guide teacher, student unable to adapt and socialization with environment in the practice school. Based on the background, hence done research especially to see how far pedagogic and professional competencies of teacher candidate student. This research executed in June 2007 until September 2007 in eight practice schools. Population of this research is all students S1 in majors civil engineering educations which programing PPL II at 2007/2008 and as sample to get information about pedagogic competencies for the execution component of study is student who practice teaching in SMKN (Perkapalan) Sidoarjo and SMKN 3 Surabaya. Tryout instrument of professional competencies has done at students in generation 2004 that has executed PPL I period 2006/2007. Validation contents and construction of instrument of pedagogic and professional competencies has been done by the expert. Result of this research indicates that attainment of pedagogic competencies teacher candidate student ranged from 70,80% until 75,70% or average 72,70%, and professional competencies ranged from 32,31% until 67,69% or average 54,59%. In general this thing can be told that attainment of competency still below in the mark minimum competencies required (if required e” 75%).en_US
