dc.description.abstractThis reseach is done in the frame of the realization of child friendly education, therefore this paper is the part of the result of the broder research entitles Children’s Rights to Participation Through Authentic and Participative Learning as Well as To Protection in Muhammadiyah Primary School 16 of Surakarta, Indonesia. The problem in this paper is also part of the reasearch, namely how authentic learning can empower teachers and students in breeding positive discipline in Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 of Surakarta. One of the research objective is to empower teachers and students in breeding positive discipline in its school members in Muhammadiyah Elementary School 16 of Surakarta. This research is qualitative participatory project-based research in which before and after project design is used. The results of the research show that students feel more comfortable in learning because bullying and abuse among students decrease (from 32% - to 11%), bullying and abuse from teachers to students descrease (43% - 8%), punishment decrease (22% - 4%), students responsibilities encrease (66% - 89%), politeness and care among students encrease (62% - 87%), students’ participation encrease (67 % - 97%), democracy encrease (28% to 79%), students academic achievements encrease – achieving minimal standard without remediation (68% - 97%).in_ID
