    Abstract
    This study aims to evaluate the implementation of adiwiyata program to create environmentally caring and cultured school in SDN Nogopuro Yogyakarta. The indicators of the evaluation in this study include green school policy, environment-based curriculum development, participatory-based environmental activities, and management of eco friendly supporting facilities in SDN Nogopuro Yogyakarta. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative which reveals the implementation of Adiwiyata program in SDN Nogopuro Yogyakarta. The data were collecting using direct observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the policy of the school supporting the establishment of environmentally caring and cultured school in SDN Nogopuro Yogyakarta has already exists. Environment-based curriculum development has been implemented. It can be seen from the environmental education which is taught monolithically as a local content subject. Besides, the development and exploration of PLH materials have been conducted through the addition of the material which are relevant with the problems around the school. Participatory-based development activities have been carried out including creating extracurricular/curricular activities, conducting activities involving external parties initiated by the school, and building partnerships between the school and other parties in the activities of PLH development. The management and/or the development of school supporting facilities related to the environment have been developed, including the eco friendly management of supporting facilities and school infrastructure; the efforts to manage sanitation facility to support clean and healthy school environment, the implementation of natural resources savings such as the efficient use of water, electricity and paper, the efforts to improve the service of the canteen and/or the provisions of healthy food to support healthy school environment management; and the efforts in waste management to support clean and healthy school environment.
