Mencari Format Baru Pendidikan Multikultural di Indonesia Pada Era Globalisasi

Abstract

Nowadays Indonesian people are trying to solve their problems on finding their nasional identity. And this is not an easy job since Indonesia consists of many different etnicts, social and culture in which they have their own characteristic. Morever, an invansive wave of globalization treats this country to find their national identity. This globalization treat gives much influence on the cultural changing among the people and etnic in Indonesia. Indeed, rather than give a positive impact, this cultural change gives a negative impact on this country especially in shaping the national Identity. Thus, a new concept of Education which is oriented to the multicultural one is highly needed to solve this problem and to save Indonesia from the Globalization expansion. This paper aimed at exploring the new concept of Multicultural education in Indonesia to face Globalization as well as finding the national identity.
