Dukungan Informasi Suami Pada Istridalam Menjalani Pengobatan Pasca Operasi Kanker Payudara

Abstract

This research aim todescribe husbands‟ informative support to their wives who were in the medical treatment period after breast surgery.Several women who suffered from breast cancer are not knowledgeable. Becauseof that, many of them do not go for medical treatment since they do not know what kind of treatment they should take. Informative support from husbandsare very important to make the sufferersmore understand about breast cancer and know what kind of treatment they should take. This research used phenomenological qualitative approach, andsemi-structured interview technique and event sampling method were performed to gather data. Four husbands who participated in this research were chosen by purposive sampling. Somehow their wives also were interviewed to give supportive information. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Fourthemes of husband‟s informative support were found that are seeking informations about breast cancer, giving psychological and spiritual advices, encourage to practice healthy life styles, and giving consideration in decision making to do the treatment.
