dc.description.abstractDBM (Dense Bitumen Macadam) is a hot mix asphalt and aggregate, which is one kind of layers of flexible pavement construction. This type of pavement is a gap graded aggregate mixture and mix DBM intended to be used as BC (Binder Course) and used on heavy-laden traffic. So in this study will examine the density value and the carrying capacity of the material RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) graded DBM. This study uses laboratory tests. Materials used are derived from the material RAP-Weleri Kendal, Central Java and New Aggregate from PT. Panca Dharma. This study did not use the added material. In this study, tests were conducted abrasion, density, sieve analysis, test and test density CBR (California Bearing Ratio). In testing the density, this study uses the density of Standard Proctor and Modified Proctor and to determine the water content buwat CBR density testing uses water content derived from Modified Proctor density. To find carrying capacity, pemeriksaanya using a CBR (California Bearing Ratio) without bath (Unsoaked) with a variation of 10, 30, 65 strokes. Based on density test showed that the new aggregate is higher than the RAP, this was due to the specific gravity and absorption of new aggregate is higher than the RAP. Based on the carrying capacity has found that new aggregate carrying capacity is higher than the RAP, this was due to the RAP material composed of aggregates and asphalt material that enveloped him. From the above conditions can be concluded that the quality of new aggregate better than the RAP. The results of this study can be explained that the value of the specific gravity and absorption of RAP and New Aggregates, the results of RAP obtained bulk specific gravity of 1.73, 1.77 SSD density, apparent specific gravity of 1.80 and absorption of 2.25 %, while the results of newly acquired aggregate bulk specific gravity of 2.45, 2.50 SSD density, apparent specific gravity of 2.59 and 2.425 % absorption. Values obtained abrasion on the RAP 25.44% and 20.86% New Aggregate. The results of standard test proctor RAP obtained maximum density of 1.47 g / cm3, the optimum water content of 7.7% while the newly acquired aggregate of 1.84 g / cm3, the optimum water content of 8.9%. The test results of modified Proctor maximum density RAP obtained 1.57 g / cm3, the optimum water content of 7.1%, while new aggregate obtained was 1.92 g / cm3, the optimum water content of 8.4%, the density of modified proctor test is used to find CBR water content. RAP CBR test results obtained 57.78% while the New Aggregate test test results obtained 92.44%. It can be concluded that the RAP and New Aggregate that has been graded by the DBM, the value of the New Aggregate much higher compared with the results of the RAP.in_ID
