dc.description.abstractSalam (Syzygium polyangthum Wight.) and Tempuyung (Sonchus arvensis L.) has been shown to have antihyperuricemic and also diuretic effect in animal model. The aim of this research was to study of combined extracts in a dose of 200 mg/kgBW to increase urine volume of hyperuricemian mice. Fifteen mice were divided into 3 groups .The normal control was given 1 ml/20gBW aquadest i.p then was given 0.5 ml/20mgBW aquadest orally an hour later. Negative and extract controls were induced by 250 mg/kgBW potassium oxonate i.p. Then, the negative control was given 0,5 ml/20mgBW aquadest orally and the extract controls were given 200 mg/kgBW combination of Salam and Tempuyung extracts. Urine data was taken at 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 24 hours for 3 days. Data was analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis followed by Mann-Whitney 95%. The result showed that in hyperuricemia condition led to increased urine volume (p=0,007). Combination of Salam and Tempuyung in a dose of 200 mg/kgBW had no effect to increase urine volume in hyperuricemia condition (p=0,396). During three days, cumulative urine from combination of Salam-Tempuyung extracts increased about 50.15%.in_ID
