Breastfeeding in the first hour of birth can reduce infant mortality. Based on the Riskesdas coverage 2013, Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD) is 34.5%. IMD also give good influence on exclusive breastfeeding. The attitude of a good mother in preparing IMD and exclusive breastfeeding since pregnancy can improve the implementation of the IMD and practice exclusive breastfeeding her baby. This study aims to find out the relationship between the knowledge and antenatalcare frequens with attitudes in preparation IMD and exclusive breastfeeding of pregnant women The study design was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population in this study is the third trimester pregnant women in January 2016 in Pekalongan. The sampling technique using cluster random sampling, number simple 75 respondent. The techniques of data collection are questionnaires. The results of the study explains that knowledge is positively related to the attitude of the mother and was statistically significant (p = 0.000; OR: 12.8), and the ANC frequency is negatively related to the attitude mother and was not statistically significant (p=0,952; OR:0,97). Based on results of the study is recommended to give a good knowledge about the preparation of lactation during pregnancy so that knowledge of mothers about breastfeeding increases.
