Efektifitas Training Kognitif Untuk Mengelola Perubahan Kognitif Akibat Kemoterapi Pada Penderita Kanker Payudara
Abstract
Breast cancer is a cancer that is common case in women with chemotherapy as primary treatments. Many reports related to changes in cognitive function in breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Several non-pharmacological interventions implemented one of which is cognitive training.The purpose of the update of this review is to evaluate the current evidence related to the effective of cognitive training for breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.
Literature searches base on Ebscohost, Proquest, ScienceDirect, Emerald, Sage Journal andSpringerLink. Cluster Key word used is cognitive training, cognitive function, cognitive treatment, breast cancer, chemotherapy, chemobrain, and chemo fog. Articles used is published between 2005 and now.
There were got 5 articles that fulfilled the criteria. From those articles, some kind of interventions including in the cognitive training were founded. The given interventions can increase the cognitive function and decrease the cognitive disorder complaint toward a self-reported cognitive function. The analysed research in this review has some limited sample, participants’ characteristic, high diffraction risk and the unknown visibility applying in Asian Culture, especially Indonesia.
Cognitive training interventions are potentially effective for managing changes in cognitive function in patients with chemotherapy-induced breast cancer is based computerized cognitive training, memory training and speed of processing training.
