Abstract
Injectable contraceptive methods, including methods of hormonal contraceptives, injectable contraceptive method, there are two kinds of methods injections every 3 months and injection method every 1 month. Both methods respectively - each have advantages and disadvantages. The downside of contraception is the disruption of the menstrual patterns which are amenorhoe, menorrhagia and appeared spots (spotting), a delay in the return of fertility after discontinuation, weight gain from 1.5 to 2 kg and a weight on the first visit. Weight gain caused by fluid retention, increased fat in the body, and improve appetite. This study aims to determine whether there is a difference of weight gain in users of contraceptive DMPA Injectable Combination with BPS Nor Munazah, Mayong, Jepara in 2012. This research is descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. Total population in this study 104 DMPA acceptors and 26 acceptors injectable combination with purposive sampling technique samples were taken 52 respondents. Data analysis using t-test formula 2 (two) free samples are not correlated. The results showed no weight gain in users of contraceptive DMPA is 61.5% while the total weight gain in combination injectable contraceptive users (Cyclofem) ie total of 11.5%, with the t (4.295)> t table (2.01) df: 50 and p value 0.000> 0.05, so it can be concluded that there are differences in weight gain in the use of contraceptive DMPA and Injectable combination in BPS Nor Munazah, Mayong, Jepara. The conclusion from this study showed differences in weight gain in users of contraceptive DMPA and Injectable combination, and equally there is a weight gain in users of contraceptive DMPA and Injectable combination in BPS NorMunazah, Mayong, Jepara.
