Hubungan Kepatuhan Minum Obat Kusta Dan Dukungan Keluarga Dengan Kecacatan Pada Penderita Kusta Di Kabupaten Kudus
Abstract
Treatment of the patient to break the chain of transmission, cure patients and prevent disability or prevent further disability existing prior to treatment’s Beside medication adherence, factor affecting patient’s disability in leprosy is the role of the family to take steps to prevent. The purpose of this study was to know relationship leprosy medication adherence and support families with disability in leprosy patients in Kudus Regency. Type of research is correlation study with cross sectional approach. Population in this study were all lepers in the Kudus District some 77 people. Sampling technique used is total sampling. Instrument used was a questionnaire. Test the hypothesis using a chi-square test. The results obtained most the leper's disobedience in taking medication as many as 48 people (62.3%), most families do not support the lepers by 47 people (61%), most the deformed leprosy patients at level 1 as many as 43 people (55.8%). P value is 0.003 and 0.004 (<0.05). Can conclude a da relationship leprosy drug compliance with disability in leprosy in the district K udus, a da relationship support families with disabilities in patients with leprosy in the Kudus district in 2013 (p value 0.004 <0.05). Expected health consider in taking action on improving medication adherence and effectiveness of self-care training to increase the support of family members of patients with leprosy.
