Background:Risk assessment is the basis for successful safety and health management,and
the key to reducing work-related accidents and occupational diseases. Ifit is implemented well,
it can improve workplace safety and health-andbusiness performance in general.
Objectives:To analyze the risk assessment at the log-unloadingin the Port of Nusantara
Tanjung Emas Semarang to seethe danger, risk, and control risk. Methods:This
observational design study with cross sectional approach. Methodsof collecting data from
primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected from field observation and
interviews.While the secondary data were obtained from the data recorded in the Port.
Result:Existing risk control who has made was the administrative and PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment). Based on the risk assessment has been conducted found that overall, the
risk of danger there are 19 high risk categories, 19 medium risk categories, 4 low risk
categories.IConclusions:The company is expected to add administrative control to create
Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions, installation of safety signs in the work
area. Require operators tools, rigger, technicians licensed. Reaffirms its regulations regarding
the use of PPE, with reward and punishment, and provide additional PPE.
