Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease that is reversible form of dementia. AChE inhibition played a key role not only to enhance cholinergic transmission in the brain but also to reduce the aggregation of Aβ and the formation of neurotoxic fibrils in AD patients. Therefore, inhibition of AChE and BChE has become an outstanding alternative in the treatment of AD. Research on soursop leaf extract aims to determine the activity in the treatment of AD through the activity of AChE inhibition of soursop leaf. AChE inhibitory activity test was carried out based on the method of Ellman et al. (1961). This method is based on the reaction hydrolysis substrate ATCh by AChE that gives the yellow color wavelength of 405 nm. AChE inhibition test results showed that the 96% ethanol extract of the leaves of Annona muricata Linn. has the best inhibitory activity with IC50 of 103.65 mg / L. was quoted extracts ethyl acetate, n-hexane, water direct and indirect water has inhibitory activity of each 339.84 mg / L, 429.36 mg / L, 563.41 mg / L and 598.33 mg / L. Meanwhile, the positive control IC50 value donepezil HCl with IC50 5.29 nM (2.20 µg/L).
