dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study is to describe students' understanding of the concept of Pythagoras on aspects of understanding and aspects of applying. This type of research is based on qualitative approach of ethnography design. Study time in odd semester of 2016/2017. Subjects of teachers and students of SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura. Techniques of collecting test data, interviews and documentation. The validity of data using source triangulation and technique. Technique of data analysis using three activity flow method that is data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the study based on the aspects of understanding with seven indicators and aspects of applying with two indicators states that students have difficulty in operating algebra, determine hypotenuse and express an idea. This is because students do not understand the concept of matter. Good mastery of the material will be able to bring students in producing a good solution as well. | in_ID |
