dc.description.abstractHutan kota dapat berperan dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim global melalui proses fotosintesis yang menyerap karbondioksida dari udara dan menyimpannya dalam biomassanya. Salah satu hutan kota di Kota Bandung berdasarkan Perda Kota Bandung No. 25 tahun 2009 adalah hutan kota di kompleks kebun binatang Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi jumlah karbon tersimpan dalam biomassa pohon di hutan kota kompleks kebun binatang Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sensus pohon yang meliputi identifikasi jenis dan pengukuran dimensi pohon. Perhitungan estimasi jumlah biomassa pohon dilakukan dengan persamaan alometrik yang ada (i.e. Chave). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jumlah karbon tersimpan dalam biomassa hutan kota Kebun Binatang Kota Bandung adalah sebesar 76 ton/ha atau setara dengan 278 CO2 equivalent per ha. Kontribusi serapan karbon tertinggi adalah jenis beringin kebo, trembesi, dan mahoni afrika yaitu masing-masing sebesar 32, 31, dan 27 ton CO2- equivalent per ha.in_ID
