The practice of teaching becomes one of the criteria of student assessment of PLP practitioner where in the assessment there are sub criteria that is the use of media in learning in accordance with the material. Problems that occur in this program is the low use of instructional media conducted by Mathematics Education students. This study analyzes the constraints faced by PLP practitioners in terms of the use of instructional media in accordance with the subject matter and this study is the student of PLP Mathematics Education program of 2016/2017 academic year. The purpose of this study is to describe the constraints faced by students of PLP in the use of instructional media in accordance with the material. The method used in this research is survey method and data collection technique is done by interview. The results of this study reveal that the obstacles faced by FPP students are their lack of skills in media development, lack of understanding what media appropriate for learning materials, less time to create media and managing the class feels increasingly involved when using media.
