dc.description.abstract | Sampai saat ini boarding school masih menggunakan Kurikulum 2013 sehingga keunggulan
madrasah belum mampu terekploitasi karena kedudukannya hanya sama dengan sekolah
biasa. Dari 27.218 boarding school yang ada hanya 3% yang menggunakan kurikulum khusus
sehingga sisanya sekedar madrasah yang berlabel boarding school. Dengan kurikulum khusus,
semua keunggulan yang ditargetkan dapat dipenuhi sehingga madrasah dapat sejajar dengan
sekolah regular favorit. Melalui mekanisme konversi, kompak dan eskalasi serta penggunaan
saldo waktu kurikulum khusus mampu mewujudkan keunggulan madrasah yang selama ini
tidak terunggulkan. Dengan uji coba 54 madrasah negeri swasta di Jawa Timur, rancangan
kurikulum khusus boarding school terbukti menjadikan madrasah sebagai tujuan utama siswa
dan berprestasi melebihi sekolah regular. Penelitian ini menggunakan riset kualitatif dengan
menggunakan metode pengumpulan data wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi dengan
analisis flow analysis. Lokasi penelitian di Madrasah Tsanawiyah dan Aliyah se-Jawa Timur.
Hasil penelitian menghasilkan model kurikulum khusus boarding school dengan mekanisme
konversi eskalasi terhadap Kurikulum 2013. Dengan hasil penelitian ini, sekolah yang
berafilisasi boarding school sudah tidak lagi dipaksakan menggunakan kurikulum regular
sehingga madrasah sudah menjadi tujuan utama bersekolah bagi masyarakat, diantaranya ada
madrasah berpredikat madrasah kedokteran dan sebagainya. | id_ID |
