dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study: to describe an increase in the activity of learning mathematics through RME method. This type of research collaborative PTK. The study subjects were free of action is class VIII B MTs N Karangmojo, totaling 29 students. Methods of collecting data through observation, tests, field notes, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in descriptive qualitative flow method. The validity of the data with observations conducted on - constantly and triangulation data. The results (1) an increase in the activity of learning mathematics can be seen from the increasing indicators include: a) the activity ask before action 17.24%, 34.48% first cycle, and 68.97% at the end of the action, b) suggested activity ideas before action 10.34%, 27.59% first cycle, and 58.62% at the end of the action, c) discussion activity before action 31.04%, 62.07% first cycle, and at the end of the action 89.66 % (2) increased activity of learning mathematics who scored ≥ 70 before action KKM 34.48%, 62.07% first cycle, and 86.21% at the end of the action. The conclusion of this research is the application of RME method can increase the activity of learning mathematics.en_US
