The economic condition of a country or globally is very influential on stock prices in
other countries and also used by investors in looking at whether or not a country's economy
(Salim dkk, 2017).
The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Return on Asset, Return on Equity
and company size to stock price of Sharia Banking sector company registered in Jakarta Islamic
Index (JII) period of 2013-2016.
This research is a quantitative research with kind of causal associative research. The
research population is all sharia banking sector companies registered in Jakarta Islamic Index
(JII) in year 2013-2016, which is 42 company taken from webside that is www.idx.co.id. So the
data obtained as much as 168 data. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. The classical
assumption test uses normality test, multicollinearity, autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity.
Data analysis techniques using Multiple Linear Regression, F test, t test and coefficient of
determination (R
2
).
The result of multiple linear regression analysis shows that return on asset, return on
equity and firm size simultaneously have significant effect to stock price of syariah banking
company of Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Partially show that return on asset have significant
effect to stock price. Return on equity has significant effect on stock price. The size of the
company has a significant effect on the stock price of the sharia banking sector of the Jakarta
Islamic Index (JII). Adjusted R Square value of 0.644. It shows that return on asset, return on
equity and firm size have contribution (can explain) influence to stock price equal to 64,4%.
While the rest equal to 35,6% get contribution from other variabl e outside research, that is
current ratio, debt to equity ratio, economic value added and company growth.
