dc.description.abstractMembaca merupakan aktivitas utama dalam proses pembelajaran karena membentuk kemampuan berpikir mahasiswa. Namun, dalam membaca diperlukan motivasi. Motivasi menjadi faktor penting dalam kesuksesan membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi membaca mahasiswa biologi FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan sampel sebanyak 72 mahasiswa tahun akademik 2018/2019. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket Motivation Reading Questionnaire (MRQ) yang terdiri dari 54 item. Analisis data secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya motivasi membaca mahasiwa biologi berada pada kategori baik. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan perlunya menerapkan berbagai strategi sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan motivasi membaca mahasiswa, salah satunya mengembangkan model pembelajaran.id_ID
