Coast abration causes destructions on buildings in the seashore, like citizen houses and other infrastructures. One
of the abration prevention methods is by using breakwater structure,but type of Rubble Mound Breakwater (RMB)
becomes uneconomical when it is used in isolated seashores, which that has limited infrastructure and material sources,
mainly stones. One of the methods to overcome this problems is by using sandbags as the breakwater. Many researcher
have been conducted research on the sandbag stabilities. Nevertheless, those researchs is limited on analysis about the
influence of the freeboard, roughness of slope and the heel structure and the sauges sandbag stabilities.Therefore, this
research is analyzed about the influence of configuration and slope change on the sandbag breakwater stability type
pillow. It is an experimental 2-D physical model done in the Wave tank of Environmental and Sea Energy Laboratory in
Marine Engineering - FTK ITS Surabaya. The range of wave height between 10cm to 22cm, the period is constant, 1.5
second. The number of wave was 1200 waves. The model height is 50cm, and the freeboard is 0cm. The Model variasi
reviewal are slope and configuration of sand bags. The result of the research shows that the damage level of the model
caused by forces is depends upon slope of model and configuration of sand bags.Specifically, the sandbag stability is
influenced by the cross section of configuration sandbag and length of moment. As result of the slope change, the stability
of SK1 has been increased up to 28.13%, while as a result of configuration change, SK1 to SK2, caused the stability has
been increased 4.17%.
