ANALISIS ELASTISITAS DAN SENSITIVITAS RESPON INDIVIDU DALAM MEMILIH MODA ANTARA MOBIL PRIBADI DAN ANGKUTAN UMUM BUS KOTA DENGAN TEKNIK STATED PREFERENCE (Studi Kasus Kawasan Malioboro, Yogyakarta)
Abstract
The aim of this research is to analysis the elasticity and sensitivity of individual respond in mode choice between
private cars and city bus along the corridor of Malioboro, Yogyakarta City and to develop mode choice models. The
mode choice model between private cars and public transport (city bus) was developed based on users preferences of
service as indicated by travel attributes. This research considers five travel attributes assumed to have high influences
toward mode choice behavior, i.e : travel cost, congestion charge, travel time, headway of city bus and walking time to
the bus stop. The logit binomial model was used to formulate the individual behavior based on stated preference data
from private car users in the Malioboro corridor. The model predicts the probability of choosing a particular mode of
transportation. The mode choice model between private cars and city bus was developed based on 520 options from 65
respondents who use private cars to go to Malioboro or as a through traffic. The model of the utility difference between
private cars and city bus is: UMP-UBK = 32.44482 - 0.01625 X1 - 0.00760 X2 - 1.08020 X3 - 0.60588 X4 - 1.02960 X5 (R2
= 0.90). Based on direct elasticity and cross elasticity, the travel cost attribute has the highest value of elasticity.
Meanwhile from the sensitivity analysis, travel cost is the most sensitive attribute which influences the election
probability of private cars and city bus.
