Quality Management System (QMS) has been proven as the best management approach. Empirical studies have
concluded that applying QMS gives significant effect on result and impact. As the demand of construction industry in
order that contractors and subcontractors may participate in the new tender of indonesian projects, the implementation
of QMS is a must, the message which is delivered to construction industry is very clear, it is whether companies adopt
ISO 9001 and be competitive, or ignore it and make all those things become their own risk. However, behind the succeed
of companies and countries adopting Quality Management System, there is a basic question about how far companies
which already have difficulties following the international standard are really thrive on raising the company’s
performances. This research proves empirically and statistically correlation between application of profitability with
critical success factor (CSF) of Quality Management System. Statistical analysis was run and the findings show that to
increase profitability of Indonesian construction services, organisation should consistently implement a Quality
Management system which is mainly drived by 2 critical factors that is 1) Conducting integrated control movement and
2) Having world class quality image of construction service. With the company profitability increasing, indirectly have
potency to assign value added to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) construction sector and able to affect national GDP.
