EFEK HEPATOPROTEKTIF EKSTRAK JAMUR LINGZHI (Ganoderma lucidum) PADA TIKUS TERINDUKSI PARASETAMOL
Abstract
Liver disease can be caused by virus, bacterium, parasite, drugs, alcohol,
worm, or bad nutrition. One of drug which causing disease at liver is paracetamol
where excessive usage or over dose will cause liver necrosis. Lingzhi (Ganoderma
lucidum) contain ganodermic acid to restore liver function. Purpose of this research is
to know hepatoprotective effect of ethanol extract lingzhi on the male rats that inducted
by paracetamol.
The research was conducted in five groups of male rats (each group contain
five rats). The first group (normal control), the second group (control of toxic
paracetamol 2,5 g/kg bw), the third until fifth group, were given Ganoderma lucidum
extract with doses 0,5; 1 and 2 g/kg bw respectively. 24 hours after treatment, they
were administrated by toxic dose paracetamol 2,5 g/kg bb. After 48 hours, SGPT
activity were measured by GPT ALAT method and then their liver cells were examined
by histology preparation.
The results showed that the administered single dose of extract Ganoderma
lucidum doses 0,5 : 1, and 2 g/kg bw for 7 seven days have a significant
hepatoprotective effect in male rats 81,91%; 85,50% and 96,82% respectively. The
examination of the liver cells by histology preparation shown that the administration of
alcohol extract of Ganoderma lucidum doses 0,5; 1, and 2 g/kg bw have significant
hepatoprotective effect againts toxicity of parasetamol (can reduce necrosis in liver).
