ANALYSIS OF TRAFFIC NOISE IN PKU MUHAMMADIYAH SURAKARTA HOSPITAL

Abstract

Noise is unwanted sound and noise is very annoying people. In some cases it can lead to hearing loss or the occurrence of traffic accidents. PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital is a hospital that capable to handling more than 4 of the diseases, thus the hospital will serve the many patients who are suffering from various diseases. And certainly needed a comfortable and quiet for hospitalized patients. However, because the hospital is located on the edge of the highway, would be affected by the impact of the traffic flow that crossed the road in the form of noise. To determine the level of noise caused by the traffic received at the Hospital of PKU, the formula used L10 = 42.2 dB + 10 log Q (A). From the results of the study concluded that the level of noise received at the hospital and is still below the standard that is less than 75 dB (A).
