PENGUKURAN KAPASITAS VITAL PARU IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER TIGA UNTUK MENENTUKAN POSISI PERSALINAN YANG EFEKTIF
Abstract
Respiratory system is one of physiological processes that is changed for adaptation in pregnant
women and influence power factor on birth process. One of methods to assess respiratory system
(ventilation
mechanism) is measuring vital
capacity.
Main factors that affect vital capacity are body’s
anatomical
shape, position for the measurement of vital capacity,
respiratory muscle strength and lung
compliance.The
aim of this study was to determine the effect of maternal strain position on lung vital
capacity.
This type of research was cross-sectional with quantitative
approach. Respondents of this
research
were 41 pregnant women which were selected by consecutive sampling. Instruments of this
research
were spirometer Vise Medical Spirolite 220 and NescoAll New Multi Check. Analysis data
using
Anova test. Results of this study concluded that body position was factor that influence lung vital
capacity
and lung vital capacity with semi fowler position was higher than that in dorsal recumbent
position,
which was position that is used by all pregnant women when deliver their baby. This
research
conclude
that semi fowler position was more effective than dorsal recumbent position during partus
