Meningkatkan Kemampuan Observasi Siswa Melalui Aktivitas Praktikum Outdoor pada Siswa SMP
Abstract
The goal of the research is to increase the observation ability of the grade
VII A students of SMP Negeri 3 Jumapolo for acid, base and salt through
laboratory activity. Method used is classroom action research. The research tries
to solve the students’ problems in a classroom through some actions implemented
for students. The research is done in two cycles and each cycle consists of:
planning, acting, observing, reflecting and evaluating. Technique of data collection
that involved collaborator and students are: observation, test, and students’ activity.
Data validation uses: member check, audit trail, and data confirmation. Technique
of data analysis uses: qualitative assisted by chart, grafic or pictures. The research
result shows that outdoor students’ activity can increase the ability of students’
observation for class VII A SMP Negeri 3 Jumapolo. The result of cycle 1, the
students’ average score is 68. After being given a treatment for cycle 2, the students’
average score increased 73. The students’ observation ability increases from 45%
to be 62 %.
