MODERNISASI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM KH. AHMAD DAHLAN DALAM NOVEL “SANG PENCERAH” KARYA AKMAL NASERY BASRAL
Abstract
This paper aims to identify the modernization of Islamic education
conducted by KH. Ahmad Dahlan contained in the works of “SANG
PENCERAH” novel by Nasery Basral Akmal. Thus, this study is a library
research, where the data collection method used is the method of
doc ument at i on, t he pr i mar y dat a s our ce i s t he wor k of “SANG
PENCERAH” novel by Nasery Basral Akmal. The findings in this study
are
Dahlan, among which is the modernization of curricula, methods,
educators and learners, as well as the modernization of infrastructure,
the educational obj ectives, materials and educational syst ems are
applied,
Dahlan indicated by using lecture, discussion, demonstration, sample
and examples, as well as the question and answer method. Some of
these methods except lecture were rarely used by other scholars in
teaching religion to students,
learners, especially in positioning teachers as facilitators and learners
as the subject of education, and
infrastructure demonstrated with the use of some facilities such as violin,
maps, and compass, in addition to some infrastructure such as tables,
chairs, and blackboards.
