Pengaruh Peran Orang Tua terhadap Tingkat Depresi Pada Siswa dan Siswi di SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo

Abstract

Adolescents vulnerable to depression because of the many processes of adaptation to various stressors of life that exist, if not controlled can cause antisocial behavior that can settle into a personality disorder when they are adults. Depression factors in adolescents is influence of parents, socioeconomic, gender and age adolescents. Preliminary study results that 12 students of SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo with beck depression scale with 21 item. The research objective was to determine the factors that influence the level of depression in male and female students at SMAN 2 Sukoharjo. The research method is quantitative, with cross sectional approach, a design research methods Inferential non experimental with the hypothesis. Population was all students SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo 173 people. Sampling technique using a proporsional random sampling, 120 respondents obtained. Research using a questionnaire instrument. Hypothesis testing using Chi Square. The results with chi square test there is correlation between parent role with depression p = 0.008. There is no correlation between economic enough with depressed student with p = 0.0355. There is no correlation between sex with a depressed student with p = 0.094. There is no correlation between age with the depressed students with p = 0.290.
