The respiratory system undergoes attention will normally during pregnancy, it affects the power of birthing. Respiratory system capability can be measured by assess the vital capacity. The main factors that affect vital capacity are the body shape, the position during measurement, respiratory muscle strength and lung compliance. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of maternal age, hemoglobin level, and body position on lung vital capacity in pregnant women. Quantitative research design with cross sectional approach. The research population was 68 of pregnant women in the third trimester in Sri Lumintu Maternity Hospital Jajar Laweyan Surakarta. The research sample was 41 pregnant women with consecutive sampling. The research instrument was Spirometer Vise Medical Spirolite 220 and Nesco All New Multi Check. Test data analysis techniques using Anova. This study concluded that: (1) body positions variable were the factors that influence lung vital capacity, and (2) semi fowler position result in lung vital capacity higher than dorsal recumbent position and the left lateral recumbent position.
