FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MOTIVASI MAHASISWA SARJANA KEPERAWATAN UNTUK MELANJUTKAN PENDIDIKAN PROFESI NERS DI UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH SURAKARTA
Abstract
Based on the data found in Health Science Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta the number of graduated Nurse Students of entry year 2003 is 34 students. Twenty eight students of the total number take ners profession program. Meanwhile the number of the students of entry year 2004 is 56 students. From the total number of the students only thirty eight of them take ners profession program. The number of the students of entry year 2005 who take Ners profession program is 48 students out of the total number 84 students. Many of the graduated students from nurse science department don’t continue their study to ners profession education. The aim of this research is to see the factors influencing nursing scholars’ motivation to take ners profession program in Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta’. This research applies analytic descriptive approach with cross sectional design. The population of this research is nursing scholars of entry year 2006 and 2007 who are still active in the faculty of Health Science Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta with total number 110 students. The writer takes `eighty six students as the respondents. The sample in this research is taken by applying simple random sampling technique, Chi Square test, with confidence level α = 0,05. The result of this research shows that the attitude of significance p = 0,991 (p> 0.05) with χ2 0,018 correlation value, the significance value of the classmates influence, p = 0,283 (p> 0.05) with χ2 2,522 correlation value, and the significance value of parental influence p = 0,128 (p> 0.05) with χ2 4,105 correlation value. This means Ho is accepted. Based on that result it can be concluded that there is no significant effect between the attitudes, the influence of friends in college, and parental influence on motivation to continue the education ners profession program.
