PENGARUH SIKAP TENTANG KEBERSIHAN DIRI TERHADAP TIMBULNYA SKABIES (GUDIK) PADA SANTRIWATI DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL- MUAYYAD SURAKARTA

Abstract

The clean culture is the reflection of society’s behavior and act in keeping self – personal hygiene and the environtment in daily life. Quo’an school, as one of the educational place in Indonesia, are more than 40.000. The skin disease is one of healthy problems in quo’an scool which is caused by scabies. Scabies can develop in one’s bad hygiene. The health status is influenced by some factors and one of them is someones behavior in responding a disease, scabies is one contagious disease. The students behavior has an important role in preventing the scabies in the quo’an school environtment which needs ones hygiene and it should be applied in healthy act.This research is aimed to know the influence of self cleanliness behavior toward the appearance of scabies (gudik) of the female students in quo’an school.This research is qualitative with cross sectional method and it is intended to know the correlation between the independent and dependent variables. The research is conducted in Al Muayyad quo’an school of Surakarta by taking 96 female students as the sample. The sample collecting method is purposive sampling. The data collecting method is by using quesionare. The collected data is analyzed by using chi square data analysis. The result of the research show that: (1) the female students of Al Muayyad quo’an school of Surakarta have bad habit in self-cleanliness that is 55,20%, (2) the female student of Al Muayyad quo’an school of Surakarta are positive to be suffered by scabies, that is 54,20%, (3) there is a correlation of personal hygiene toward the appearance of scabies (gudik) among female student in Al Muayyad quo’an school of Surakarta. The correlation coefisien is about 69,863 with the significance value of 0,000<0,05 (p<0,05). It is proved to be significant with the significance rate is 5%.
