dc.description.abstractCitra sidik jari masih menjadi alat utama bagi kepolisan Republik Indonesia untuk identifikasi perseorangan. Tetapi data yang didapat di tempat kejadian perkara adalah citra yang terdistorsi serta menyatunya beberapa ridge/furrow sehingga dibutuhkan beberapa metode lainnya untuk memperbaiki tampilannya. Perbaikan citra dengan menggunakan metode ekuilisasi histogram terbukti mampu untuk mendapatkan hasil secara optimal, meskipun untuk proses akhir masih dibutuhkan beberapa metode lainnya seperti penggunaan proses morfologi thinning guna mempertegas tampilan edge detection satu piksel. Dan terakhir adalah penggunaan metode filter sliding neighborhood untuk membersihkan noise hasil morfologi opening/closing. Dari penelitian, nilai optimal untuk thinning adalah 145 dengan rata-rata proses yang diperlukan 1.695 detik dan SNR = 0.015 dB.en_US
