Abstract
Principles of law in the Act Number 39 Year 2004 respecting the Pla- cement and Protection of the Indonesian workers Abroad does not give decent protection to Indonesian workers yet and may be not made
completely as a basis for establishing the norms for placing and protecting TKIs within the Act. The Principles that has been explicated are the principles of equal rights, social justice, the gender equity and justice, and that of human trafficking prohibition. The principle that is not integrated explicated is inte- grated principles. And, the principles that is not found as the separate rules are those of democracy and no discrimination. To protect the Indonesian work- ers as the dignified human, the existing principles must be reviewed and added by the new principles like those of humanity, and of state responsibilities as a philosophy basis for placing and protecting Indonesian workers in the future
