Pengelolaan Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Boarding School di SMP
Abstract
Moral decadence among students in Indonesia: fighting between students,
promiscuity and bullying has been on the verge of reasonable limits. The
reason is the lack of parental affection, which is not conducive environment and
character education are neglected. The solution of this problem is that existing
institutions should strive as much as possible in the management of character
education. Character education in an educational institution should be integrated
in subjects with preparing rpp synergistic and apply directly at boarding school.
The purpose of this study sought to describe the character value, integrate character
education in the school environment and describe the role of parents in the
educational process of character. The method used is a qualitative method, the
data collection techniques of interview, observation and documentation and then
draw conclusions with interactive analysis. The results of this study revealed
that the character has been integrated into the curriculum subjects. This means
that the students have gained the theory of characters contained in the student
subjects. Students not only gain cognitive aspects, but also aspects of affective
and psychomotor. After school the students were able to integrate and apply the
value of the character directly in the boarding school environment nurtured by a
cleric. The role of parents is proven to help the process of character education
with a synergistic cooperation between the school and parents.
