Pemanfaatan Limbah Daun Mangga Sebagai Pewarna Alam Pada Kain Katun Dan Sutera

Abstract

Community servise benefit of manggo leaf waste as natural dyes in the cotton and silk fabrics was done in the batik crasfement Putra Amalia, Sutowijoyo Street, Penumping Surakarta. The community servise methods was used observation of places, determine the target, preparation tools and materials, discusision, counseling, and training. In the training we was teach about negative impact of sintetic dyes, the important of safety, and explain how to make natural dyes from manggo leaf waste. There are three benefits from the community services. The first, batik crasfement know how the best extraction, coloring, dyeing and fixation technique for cotton and silk fabrics. The second, the batik crasfement have awareness to natural dyes is better than sintetic dyes. The third, the batik crasfement can increasing economic value of mango leaf waste than before.
