Problems faced by the teacher-partners Indonesian language and literature at
the high school Muhammadiyah Karanganyar-are: (1) lack of pedagogic competence
in applying their learning strategies of Indonesian literature is enlightening students,
(2) lack of competence so that they give more priority compose language skills; (3) in
their learning is more oriented on the theory and history of literature is boring and
rarely presents a critique/review of literature that can motivate students to compose,
(4) they rarely present the creative literary writing poetry/short story for example, (5)
they rarely do evaluation of learning which is able to measure the students’ creativity
and appreciation compose. Problem resolution process are: (1) they were invited to
attend training and workshops; begins with the deepening development of learning
materials on Indonesian literature is enlightening students, (2) workshops/training
and assistance in developing the innovative device of literary learning strategies,
teaching materials, media, to evaluation and lesson Plan (RPP), (3) facilitation of
the peer teaching practices that emphasized the learning of criticism/review of
literature, reading and writing creative literature, and evaluation of learning. The
result is their pedagogic competence in teaching literature experienced a significant
increase in both the mastery of innovative instructional strategies, instructional
materials, media, and compose competency assessment, and instructional practices.
