dc.description.abstract | This research deals with the sexist type of language used in LKS Bahasa
Inggris for the students of Junior-High School (SLTP) in Surakarta. This
study aims at identifying the markers of sexist language, and their linguistic
levels of usage. The research is descriptive qualitative. The data of the study
are morphemes, words, phrases, and sentences of English language containing
sexist qualities. The data-collecting method is documentation. The dataanalyzing
technique is referential. The result of the study shows the following
conclusions: (1) there are eight types of sexist language markers in LKS
Bahasa Inggris for the students of Junior-High School (SLTP) in Surakarta;
(2) the sexist language is used in the linguistic level of morpheme, word, phrase
