dc.description.abstractThe aim of education in Islam is not only transfers knowledge but also builds a value or humans‟ value and character so that they will be a good human. This research aims to design a strategy to develop student‟s character in learning mathematics that are based on the values of Islam. This study in the frame of research and development method with qualitative approach. Subject in this research is the first year of undergraduate student mathematics education UMS that took courses basic mathematics. Mathematics learning strategy which integrating Islamic values is designed in three stages. Firstly, the inculcation stage where the lecturer facilitate students with activities that are able to raise awareness of the value of the character in learning. Secondly is Implementation where the lecturers facilitate student learning activities that can foster character value explicitely or implicitely. Finally is reflection where the lecturer together with students reflect on the values of the characters that have not been well grow in learning. Based on the interview with students showed that the use of learning strategy have a positive impact on student character development and their point of view about the relation of Islam values and mathematics learning.en_US
