Budaya Pada Novel Memang Jodoh dan Siti Nurbaya Karya Marah Rusli Serta Tradisi Pernikahan Minangkabau: Perspektif Kajian Sastra Bandingan

Abstract

Literary is something that is never separated from human life and is a reflection of life or everyday human character. Issues raised in this research is a comparative study of the marriage culture contained in the novel Memang Jodoh and Siti Nurbaya by Marah Rusli with marriage culture Minangkabau society. Comparisons were performed in this study using the disciplines, two or more literary works became the object of study of comparative literature. This study focused on the study of cultural elements that exist in the Minangkabau marriage. The objective of this study is to investigate in depth the elements contained in the novel and determine the relationship between marital culture of Minangkabau society with the novel Memang Jodoh and Siti Nurbaya by Marah Rusli. In addition, it can also delves implied meanings contained in the literary work.
