KETERAMPILAN MEMBATIK SEBAGAI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN EKSTRAKURIKULER SISWA SMP DI SURAKARTA

Abstract

The goals of this research are: (1) identifying and mapping the batik business centers in Surakarta, and (2) analyzing the obstacles and supports to the implementation, This study used a descriptive-qualitative method of analysis. The result of the research showed that of the 12 batik industries, six of them were ready to give the students batik-drawing training. Secondly, main obstacles of implementing the extra-curricular batik-drawing training were the poor preparation of the students and the concurrent schedule between the training and the process of production.
