Strategi Pengumpulan Zakat pada OPZIS Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dalam Upaya Pengentasan Kemiskinan

Abstract

The level of poverty in Yogyakarta is at the ten worst rank among provinces in Indonesia. One of tool for poverty alleviation is zakat. In fact, the total fund of zakat accepted in Yogyakarta is 5% of the whole potential zakat fund. Thus, the result of this research consists of a model of paying zakat motivation and strategy of collecting zakat through OPZIS in Yogyakarta.Furthermore, the first step is identifiying the factors that influence the knowledge of zakat payer by using multiple linear regression analysis. The second step is identifying the factors that influence the motivations of people in paying zakat by using logistic regression analysis. The third step is determining the position of OPZIS by using SWOT Multi Quadrant analysis. The fourth step is arranging a strategy of collecting zakat through OPZIS in Yogyakarta. There are two results of this research. The first result is the knowledge of zakat payer (muzakki) is influenced by education, moslem priests, government, and OPZIS, while the motivation of people in paying zakat is influenced by education, knowledge, moslem priests, government and OPZIS. The second result is a way of collecting zakat by using aggressive maintenance strategy.
