Pemberdayaan Santri Pondok Pesantren Sarochaniyyah Meteseh Tembalang Semarang melalui Seni Kerajinan Kaligrafi Berbahan Pelepah Pisang dengan Pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR)
Abstract
Islamic boarding school is currently quite large in number and scattered in rural areas makes this institution has a strategic position in assuming the roles of education and socio-economic development for the surrounding communities. Moreover, today's Islamic boarding schools has undergone many internal development opportunities which allow the magnitude of the Islamic boarding school to act as agents of development in order to bridge and solve the economic problems of society. Therefore, the Islamic boarding school as a religious educational institutions have an important role in making a change through empowerment. The purpose of community service activities is to increase the knowledge, information, training skills of directing the creativity of boarding school students through arts-based craft calligraphy banana. Seeing the potential that exists, hopes the event can be used to improve the prospects for the economy of the local community through creative products such as handicraft art of calligraphy. The method used in community service activities are Participatory Action Research (PAR) is a method that involves the community as subject and object in devotion to stages such as education / socialization and vocational training. Results of community service activities are increased confidence and a spirit of independence of the students at the Islamic boarding school Sarochaniyyah Meteseh Tembalang to conduct business activities independently, increasing the skills and creativity of the students through the craft of calligraphy made from banana, increased income / revenue local communities through business-based local potential, articles and scientific publications related to the empowerment of Islamic boarding school students in the form of skills training in Islamic boarding school Sarochaniyyah Meteseh Tembalang Semarang.
