dc.description.abstractMayority people in Subdistrict in Toroh use groundwater for fulfii the neet household. The household equipment that used for boil the water be found sediment. If hard water is used for washing will difficult foaming detergent that will lead to waste and if the water boil will cause the crust on household appliances. Indication of the water that a high hardness alsa could watch closely from soap that difficult be full of foam. Finally, the society added too much detergent for washing needed. This study aims to analyze distribution water hardness to identify the type of soil and ground water hardness in District Toroh . The method used was asurvey method . The unit is the unit used analyst landforms . Groundwater sampling technique purposive random sampling . The analysis in this study is a comparative descriptive analysis .The results showed the classification of research areas including water hardness . The highestgroundwater hardness levels in excess of standards that are in D1 is 554.1 mg / L and the lowest hardness in the hills on landforms S7 is 150.5 mg / L. Type while the highest hardnesson landforms D1 is 371.9 mg / L and the lowest on landforms S7 is 46.2 mg / L. Type hardness remains highest on landforms S5 is 222.6 mg / L , and the lowest is 0 mg/L on landforms F1.in_ID
