    Abstract
Sala (Cynometra ramiflora L.) is a mangrove plant that can be used as a traditional medicine. The stem bark of sala plant is part of the plant which useful for lowering blood of glucose levels. This research aims to determine the effects of antidiabetic ethanol extract of the bark Sala (Cynometra ramiflora L.) on blood of glucose levels wistar strain male rats induced alloxan 150 mg/kgBW. Twenty five male Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups, such as the negative control group were given a suspension of 0.5% CMC-Na, the positive control group were given suspensions glibenclamide 0.9 mg/kgBW, and three groups were treated of the Sala stem bark dose 125 mg/kgBW, 250 mg/kgBW, and 500/kgBW. The administration was done every day for 11 days with oral administration of 2.5 ml/200gBW after increase the volume in blood glucose ≥ 200 mg/dL in rats induced alloxan 150 mg/kgBW. The data obtained from the examination of blood glucose on day 0, the 3rd and 11th day after treatment. Statistical test results P value <0.05 showed that the ethanol extract of the Sala stem bark in dose 125 m /kgBW, 250 mg kgBW and 500 mg/kgBW can decrease blood glucose in rats and has significant difference than negative control.
