dc.description.abstractThe conventiona l method of setting the pace in first-phase induction motor is by setting the input voltage to the induction motor, by connecting in parallel contro l the speed of the primary coil. Indu ction motor sing le pha se in its work ing principle is strongly influenced by the two coils, na mely the coil Main an d coils, so that when the speed contro l is conn ected in parallel tehadap primary coil it will greatly aff ect the performance of the indu ction motor, the relation ship that contro l the voltage at the primary coil and coils will be in con trol or in other words the current on the primary coil, the coil current auxiliary, and the total current induction motor will no t be disturbed, bu t it also will affect the torque and Cos Phi Motor, the different condition s when contro l speed are connected in series to the primary coil of the motor, because the speed contro l is connected in series only control one coil motor, so that the other coil will st ill work normally so that the motor can f urther improve its performance. Testing will be don e under two condition s, the state of zero load an d the load of the control of speed a nd control the speed of parallel connected in series to the primary coil of the indu ction motor. Flow analyze the response of the main coil, coil Bantu, the total current, electromagn etic torq ue and Cos Phi of induction motor using MATLAB So ftware. The result is the con trol circuit is coup led in parallel, the current total of 29.83 Ampere, Electromag netic Torque 14.86 Nm, an d Cos Phi 69 .67. To control the speed of a series circuit Flow Total 19 .45, Torque Electromagn etic 17.28 Nm, Cos Phi 87.97 , with a percentage of the average value of current that is 31.77 to 72.45%, Torque electromagnetic improvements grades 10 .58 until 16.28% and for the value of Cos Phi 26.26 to 27.42%.in_ID
