Pengaruh Psikoedukasi Keluarga Terhadap Kemampuan Perawatan Kebersihan Diri pada Anak Retardasi Mental di SDLB Purwosari Kudus Tahun 2015
Abstract
Background: Mental retardation is a condition (IQ below 70) accompanied by limitations in adaptive functioning areas, such as communication skills, self-care (videbeck, 2008). Social services kudus , mental retardation patients in 2011-2012 as many as 342 peoples. Self-care for children with mental retardation is low, i.e. 40 (61.6%), while the rest is higher by 25 (38.4%) (Ramawati, 2012). Objective: To determine the effect on the ability of family psychoeducation personal hygiene in children with mental retardation in the SDLB Purwosari Kudus 2015. Method: This was an experimental study using a pretest- posttest group design. Subjects in this study were mentally retarded child who numbered
24 people. Selection of subjects is done by purposive sampling. In this study, 12 people as the control group and 12 people as a group intervention. Family psychoeducation
conducted in the intervention group. Data analysis method used is non parametric statistics using the Wilcoxon test to compare test scores on the pretest and posttest subjects of the control group and intervensi.
