PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DENGAN PENDEKATAN APTITUDE TREATMENT INTERACTION BERBASIS PORTOFOLIO DI SMP KOTA SURAKARTA
Abstract
This research and development aimed to set a model of mathematic learning in Junior High
School using aptitude treatment interaction (ATI) approach in portfolio base. Specifically the aim in
details are (1) to describe mathematic learning done by Junior high School teachers of the research
locations and the approach they used, and (2) to set the concept of mathematic learning development
for Junior High School using ATI approach in portfolio base. Data collections are observation, interview,
and FGD. The research subjects are teachers, students, education experts, and policy taker. The research
locations are at four state and four private Junior High Schools in Surakarta. The technique of data
analysis are interactive, the form is the cycle of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and
conclusion/verification. The data legality uses triangulation method and resource. The result of this
research and development, (1) the mathematic learning in the schools that are used as the research
location, consisting the activities of planning, implementation, evaluation, and controlling using
deductive and inductive approaches. Planning, arrange all of the teaching administration and the
preparation on the mastery of teaching material, teaching method and evaluation tool. Implementation:
opening the teaching, learning activity, and closing the teaching. (2) The activities in the development
of mathematic teaching material using ATI approach in portfolio base are introduction step, core
activity step, and closing activity step by documenting all of the students’ activities. Those three steps
are implemented in variants that are suitable for classical, group, and individual models in a form of
a cycle. A small group of learning team which consists of five students with different ability (1 high, 2
moderate, and 1 low) with a tutor of the same age by turns. Introduction activity consists of a) review,
b) pre-motivation, and c) apperception. Core activity consists of concept development and
implementation. And the closing activity is the review on materials summary and the follow up actions.
